Still Another Short Interview with my Gilly Fish



Short Interview With Gil Ofarim 

1) Where did you first met The Moffatts ?
    I first met the Moffatts brothers at the Bravo Supershow (organised by a magazine) in Germany and we "suddenly decided" to write the song together. It was "very funny" working with Clint, Bob, Dave and Scott.

2) How did you get into music busimess in the first place?
    Well, music seems to run in my family. Abi (my dad) gave me my first guitar at the very tender age of three and I got hooked on guitars and musics. My brother, Tal , was next to follow my dad's footsteps.

3) What other intruments do you play, besides guitars?
    I also play drums, and a little bit of keyboards.

4) what are your idols?
    My dad and other axeman like Joe Satriani, Stevie Way, Rick Hamlet, Ovie and the late Kurt Cobain.

5) Are you a left-handed or a right-handed?
    Left-handed

6) Do you have any problems being a left-handed?
    Yes, I mean that's my big problem. Right now, I've got a deal with two guitar companies and I'm going to make a big endorsement,

7) What are your fav. songs from your own album?
    I'm So In Love, I Can See It In Your Eyes and Bang, Bang, Bang.

8) How many languages do you speak?
    Three, English, German and Yiddish (Hebrew).

9) Do you have a recur-ring theme that you writes about in your music?
    Yup, I think about love and that's all. Besides, love is the best thing that one can write about.

10) Have you ever been in love?
    Yeah (laughs bashfully). A lot of times.

11) And …?
    Well, my last girlfriend … We broke up a year ago. Right now, I've got a new girlfriend about a foot tall and her name is "Guitar" (he says cheeckily)     No, I really got no girlfriend. I swear.

12) What's the best thing about being young anf famous?
    I get to fly all around the world, see a lot of countries and play a lot of music. But I'm afriad to fly. I don't like flying. I don't sleep for two days before I fly so I'll be too tired to be awake on the plane.

13) What do you do during your free time?
    I play a lot of basketball, tennis and soccer as well as swimming.

14) What ia your dream?
    To run a studio with my father and brother and produce aspiring young talents.

15) What can your fans expect from you?
    A 16-year-old blond boy from Germany who loves his fans. I want to give them ( the fans) a great show!
