Me @ 23: A Simple Yet Fulfilled B-day Celebration

It was just a very simple celebration. Not so many friends came. Not so many family members also came. And yet, I think it was the most fulfilled birthday celebration that I`ve had? Why? It`s because everything, I mean every food I bought was from my own money. It wasn`t my dream party but I was very happy to be able to spend for my birthday with my own money. Sariling pagod at puyat ko galing ang perang pinanggastos ko. Kaya naman noong araw na iyon, August 6, 2012, naging maluho ako sa pagbili ng pagkain. That was nothing but to feel the self-satisfaction at fulfillment na kaya ko nang kumita sa sarili kong pagsisikap...na kaya ko nang gumastos para sa sarili ko.

Before the celebration in our house, I invited my friends na kumain sa labas. Ang kaso, isa lang ang pumunta. Oh well, it didn`t matter at all. We just enjoyed the moment. Kumain lang kami ng bownies with ice cream topping at banana split pagkatapos naming mag-picture2.  

Then pag-uwi ko sa bahay, nakahanda na nga ang mga binili kong ulam. Kami lang din ang kumain--uncle ko, cousins ko at pamangkin ko. I am currently living with my relatives here in Iligan City kaya sila ang naging pamilya ko rito. It was just a simple celebration. Para lang siyang ordinaryong bonding moments namin--kwentuhan, tawanan habang kumakain, which I preferred more than a big but empty party.  

 Then I had my cake. Bata pa lang ako I`ve dreamed to have one sa birthday ko. And whether you believe it or not, it was my first birthday cake in 23 years. Hahaha! Aside from the food, I also fulfilled my tasks for that day which added my fulfillment.

All in all, it was really a happy birthday. Salamat sa lahat ng mga bumati sa akin!
