Before I even know his name, Koizora has already made a big impact on me and it was one of the most touching movies I`ve ever watched. However, I didn`t bother to know his name nor research about him...not until I saw Gokusen 3, my favorite part of all Gokusen series. He portrayed his character as Ren Kazama well--sometimes a dork, an idiot, a tough guy and a kind-hearted friend and brother. Not only did Haruma have a beautiful face and a refreshing smile but also an amazing acting skills. Koizora is one proof. Another drama of him that I`ve watched was Samurai High School. He really did a good job in shifting characters from time to time as if it came naturally from him. He`s funny but pitiful as well. Then the Samurai character was admirable. Everytime he smiled, laughed and cried, I did the same as well. He could really capture your heart by just his smile, even so with his dorky attitude.
2. Akanishi Jin
The first movie I saw him in was Yukan Club as Miroku. That time, Jin really left a mark in my heart. I really loved his character--his being tough and willing to do everything to protect his friends. Then, there were some funny moments when his emotional side was revealed. Miroku was easy to cry whenever he heard a touching story. Jin was really funny doing that. When his role gets serious and he needs to cry, he can really cry and touched your heart. However, I still prefer his character in Yukan Club and Gokusen 2. I love him best as a comedian. Hehe.
3. Kamenashi Kazuya
I saw him first in Yamato Nadeshiko and I really loved his character as Kyohei. His role was always a serious and tough guy even in Gokusen 2--opposite to Jin`s character. Although sometimes his character was a bit boring, his talent in acting can surely make it interesting. I love him most especially during a very serious scene like in Gokusen 2 where he was begging his father. That was really breath-taking and heart-touching, made me avoid to watch it again because I know it will make me cry hard again.
4. Hayami Mokomichi
Before Haruma made me cry in Koizora and captured my heart in Gokusen 3 as Ren, Hayami had already given me sleepless nights and made me cry everytime I remembered Absolute Boyfriend. His character as Night, a robot programmed to be the ideal boyfriend of a girl and eventually fell in love with her for real, really made me wish I`d have the same boyfriend as well. Hayami`s acting as a human-like robot was really great. Facial expressions of a human but not losing the robot character, Hayami really did a great job. That movie still breaks my heart until now everytime I watch it again.
5. Jun Matsumoto
The first time I saw him in Gokusen, well, that was love at first sight. The cold-hearted Shin Sawada was just not my type, but in this drama, he was really cool. I don`t like him in Hanayori Dango. Maybe, it`s because of the hairstyle or it can be that I`m not really into Dao Ming Zhu and his counterparts in all versions of Meteor Garden. I don`t like the hot-headed player character. Oppositely, Shin was very cool and intelligent. He knows what to do and when to do it. He`s selfless and willing to sacrifice himself for his loved ones. Because Jun portrayed Shin that good, he deserved a spot in my heart. ^_^
6. Shun Oguri
I really didn`t know his real name when I saw him in Gokusen. I thought his face was really familiar. Then, after getting hooked with this drama, I finally researched about every character I was interested in. Uchiyama has not really given me that big impact as Shin did but I got really curious who he was. Shun Oguri. Even the name was really familiar to me. When I researched about Shun...Bang! He was Rui of Hana Yori Dango. Damn! I knocked my head real hard. Rui was my favorite in Hana Yori Dango and come to think of it, I also knew he was Shun. But why didn`t I recognize him in Gokusen? Arrrggghhh...So, that`s the story of my stupidity. Anyways, Shun really got the acting skills and I love him as Rui. He`s also cute as Ucchi.
7. Takeshi Kaneshiro
I don`t really remember his real name until now. I only remembered him as Keigo in Precious Time. That`s when I first saw him and it was also his only drama series that I`ve watched. Why did I love Keigo? Well, he got my ideal hairstyle of a man and the cold-hearted aura that attracts women. Aside from that, I love his eyes the most. I saw Precious Time in ABS-CBN when it was aired as Primetime Drama. Just the trailer itself made me interested in it, and since the very first night it was aired up to the very last, I`ve never missed it. And there was not a night that I didn`t cry while watching and even when I was thinking about it although the Tagalog Song, Kung Iniibig Ka Niya, also helped in making it more tragic. That was a very amazing movie and performance by Takeshi. I`ve never forgotten him ever since then.
8. Tak Sakaguchi
The most annoying bastard character but could make you go crazy over with in Versus. In the movie, his character was far from being an ideal man--over-confident, ungentle-man and doesn`t trust anyone. However, he`s got this something that girls looked for in a man. He surely knows how to fight and later, he wanted to protect the girl, his leading lady. He`s also very cute when he tried to help her stand. Ever since the first time I saw this movie, it has become one of my favorites. Tak has a very admirable talent in acting as well as in fighting. I`ve researched about him and he really was a martial artist.
